“Be in love with your life. Every Detail of it.”
- Jack Kerouac
This blog is dedicated to the memory of my amazing mother, Diane Hovan.
First and foremost, I have to thank my beloved mom, Diane K. Hovan. She taught me this amazing industry by setting an excellent example by the way she operated her own buildings. Every action she took was with honor and integrity, with the resident at the center of it all. Mom was also an advocate for staff members, believing that cared for people care for people. She made everyone she met feel like the most important person in the world. Because to her, everyone was.
I wish I had one more day with her, every day. I love you mom, you were the best. I miss you every day.
I am thankful for my dad, Jim Hovan. He taught us that every living being has value. Every single animal, every plant, all creatures great and small. He shows kindness to all, especially those who cannot speak for themselves. Naturalist, archeologist, great listener and friend. Love ya Dad!!!!!!
I am thankful for my brother, Jim. I think more than anyone, he has my mom's gift of making everyone feel special. He is a hard worker, and works hard for his family. He never settles for anything less than the best in all areas of his life. Jimmy is a risk taker and always finds a way to make great things happen. You are the best, and I love you always. Much love to James, Bradley (Punch), and Laura.
I am thankful for my son, Jackson Chambers, the boy who made me a mom. You are such an amazing person, and I cannot begin to tell you how much I am enjoying seeing the young man you are becoming. You are so smart, funny, kind, and talented. I am so thankful that I am your mom. I love you with all my heart. You are truly the best gift I have ever received. Love you, J!
I am thankful for my son, Sean Chambers, who I still call "the baby". You are truly an amazing and wonderful boy. I love how kind, funny, and smart you are. You are always thinking about something, and coming up with ideas and great questions. Your intelligence amazes and inspires me every single day. I love you and I love being your mom. You are the best baby in the world. Love you, Shoe!
And to my husband of 21 years, Jack. You are the one who has made it and continues to make it all happen.
Love you,
Stephanie Chambers
