As providers in long term care, our days can be challenging. Keeping residents happy, staff engaged, families satisfied…all while following the regulations. I know that we put our heart and soul into our work, because we have to! This is an article about an experience I had. I operated a community for six years, and it meant everything to me. Losing that job was devastating to me and my whole family. However, I learned that all things happen for a reason. If the events would have been different, I may not be in the position I am in now! I look at things differently… I have a better perspective. There are things then and now that I will never compromise on. And don’t forget, everything will be okay in the end. If it is not okay, it’s not the end.
So Thankful.
